The Worker Support Hub is your spot to cool off, charge your phone, grab a snack, and catch a quick workshop. Free, and right by the worker entrance.

Here's what a normal day looks like while FanFest is open. Drop in any time. Sessions are short and free, and we run them in English and Spanish. Las sesiones son cortas y gratuitas, en inglés y español.

Wages & Hours

You should get paid for every minute you work. That includes setup, cleanup, required meetings, and time you spend waiting for your next task.

  • Overtime pay after 40 hours in a week (in most jobs)
  • No charges for uniforms or gear unless they told you in writing first
  • Your last paycheck within 6 days after your job ends

Heat & Safety

Houston heat is no joke. You have the right to water, shade, and rest breaks. You can also say no to work that isn't safe if you weren't trained for it.

  • Drinking water and a cool place to rest, on a regular basis
  • Training before you use equipment or work up high
  • You can report unsafe conditions, and no one can punish you for it
!

Harassment & Treatment

You have the right to work without being harassed, threatened, or bullied. That goes for bosses, coworkers, vendors, and fans.

  • Sexual harassment is against the law
  • Yelling, threats, and abuse are not allowed at work
  • No one can punish you for speaking up

Some things are never okay, no matter what you were told when you took the job. If any of these are happening to you, come to the Hub. We can help.

  • A boss keeping your ID, passport, or other papers
  • Being told you can't leave or quit
  • Being lied to about pay, work, or housing before you started
